A Police officer who is known to be a thief from the Sowla Zongo in the the Northern Sector of Ghana has been Accused of Stealing again not long after he was dismissed for this same attitude.
the name of the Police Officer which was disclosed to be Abu Magida, was reported by a trader on 18th October at 4: 45 PM accusing him of stealing a sum of 100 Ghana cedis
from her apartment.
Footage following the arrest of Abu Magida revealed that He was wearing a crest which was later identified by the police as an Ex Police officer who was dismissed less than a year ago. The Suspect admitted the crime in his statement.
According to the police, He Abu Mangida went to the house of the trader to buy marijuana and He later scared the trader of arrest using the Police Crest. The Trader was so scared as we all know that selling Indian Hemp in not allowed in this Country, So Magida took this opportunity to take the said amount.
The Suspect Further Stated that, He went to the the house of the trader to buy Marijuana which costs 1 Ghana Cedi and later on threaten to arrest her if she insist to give him the 100 Cedis. The Trader upon fearing and being scared of the the Police Crest made the payment in other to free herself from the police arrest.
The Regional Police spokesman DSP Mohammed Y Tanko disclosed in a statement that,
The woman was later suspected to be dealing in Drugs and her house was investigated. the police found somethings from her apartment such as ,
2 Wraps of dry leaves, suspected to be Indian hemp, some pocket of matches, two pair of scissors and 2 black polythene bags.
Abu Magida was put before the the Law court at Bole and were remanded to the prison. he was asked to appear before court on the 25th September 2018 and 31st September 2018 for investigation and Judgement.
