On Monday 11th September a gas tanker explosion occurred in The Northern Nigeria State of Nasarawa and at least 35 dead and more than 100 were injured. It started an immediate Blaze according to the state emergency.
The Chief Fire Officer of Nasarawa State, Mr Dalhatu Dogara said, they are still interacting with their stakeholder to get get the actual number of life lost and those injured.
Some Information from Nigerian Television Authority NTA showed fire, smoke rising and injured people being carried away on a stretcher, so sad.
The State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) official said the accident happened at a petrol station along the Lafia-Makurdi road linking the capital city of Abuja with northern and southern Nigeria.
The acting director at SEMA, said the truck exploded at the point of discharging the gas, citing a witness account. The agency was investigating the incident, Mr Usman Ahmed said.
