Lecturers at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has gone for an indefinite strike following result from the government dissolving the the University Governing council without consulting them.
Although Students has left Campus because of the curfew put in lace to ensure smooth running of the school, but Lecturers has decide to go on indefinite strike which is taking effect from today Friday 26th October 2018.
According to Hafiz Tijani, a Citi News correspondent of the Ashanati Region disclosed that, the Lecturers after meeting on Friday made a decision not to return to their offices until their concern is addressed.
Few days ago the govenment dissolved the University Governing Council Council after the Vice Chancellor of the school decided to Step aside not long after the the violent demonstration.
The Govenment made it clear that, the The University Council will be chaired by the Chief of Bompata Traditional Area Nana Effa Ampenteng for the three months period it has been given to serve.
